For this #FridayReads, my first #SpinsterSeptember read of the year, Sylvia Townsend Warner's "Lolly Willowes", a book originally published 100 years ago, a very early example of #feminist #fiction, and "one of the 100 Best Novels in English" according to The Guardian.

While reading this 2022 book, several times I got the impression that "this could have been written 20 years before" (or, more to the point, lament that we did not learn the lesson back then), but at the same time the book is still as relevant (if not more) today than it was when it was published.

Not only my 2024 #Thinkpad has an harder time to keep its #trackpoint in place (and by that I mean that sometimes while typing my finger brushes against it hard enough that it slides out of its place - to the point that today it just jumped ut and fell into an hard to reach place), now I found out that it is a lot thinner than in older generation Thinkpads so the replacements I thought I had for it are useless... :-(
