@71m: why web when it is local? I use sxiv for local browsing and llgal to generate a static gallery from a directory: https://github.com/bgoglin/llgal. If you want something more CGI-ish, you could build it with a few lines of perl: https://metacpan.org/pod/CGI::Application::PhotoGallery
