@prologic Well at least in the US there are places that don't accept cash.
I am jasonsanta or jason123santa or jason123 and I have a website over at https://jasonsanta.xyz
@itsericwoodward It is cool though the websites are easier as its less setup.
@itsericwoodward There is also WS4000 simulator. Its windows only but it runs perfect in wine https://www.taiganet.com
@david I don't self host my email. When I tried it out once I used luke smiths email script and it was fine.
@JasonSanta I am testing this reply again when I set it up to use nginx
@jecxjo Making software with dates and such must be really annoying.
testing a reply from my android client using the api
Testing my twtxt api to just change the twtxt.txt file from api.
@zyak Sometimes I and other people get confused what GMT offset the timezones are because of daylight savings.
@jecxjo Also seven people I follow have no feed anymore. So this might just be everyone.
@jecxjo When I walk to my class I have to make sure to not get hit by the acorns. Can't avoid the trees.
I like that twtxt moves slow compared to other social media platforms like the fediverse. Though to be fair I follow only about 20 people on here compared to much more on the fediverse. Less people and posts on twtxt and I think that makes me able to keep up with the community better.
@prologic Thanks. It actually turned out to work really well. And I am writing this post from it.
@zyak I am going to fork it from my client now.
I made a write up about how I came about wanting my own twtxt client.
@zyak For my client right now if a fork shows up in the same thread its actually indented showing a different hash. So it actually shows slightly different if its a fork. But I guess if the hash is caculated differently or something it will be a fork but not show the orginal message above. This is the only message I saw the fork come up with the orginal message above.
@zyak In my new client it actually shows up as a fork but with the other threads above. The other forked messages show up without the orginal message above in its own thread.
Got yt2009 working on Windows XP. This is on real hardware.
@JasonSanta testing multiline again
@JasonSanta This is a preview screenshot of my client. note: It is ai codedhttp://ups.jasonsanta.xyz/uploads/Screenshot_20261001_182909.png
@JasonSanta Now it uses imagetk to load avatars. It also handles any errors with uploading over scp. I might make it so I don't have to use scp if I don't want to.
@JasonSanta I added more features to my client like being able to view profiles. Think this will become my main twtxt client. Its great. If anyone wants I can put it online and write up for documendation for it.
I am testing my twtxt client called twtxtk. It is ai coded but it works well because I disliked how jenny was and I wanted a local only client. Its made it python with tkinter.
I am thinking about setting up a yarn instance. Twtxt is cool but it would be nice to be able to post from my phone.
Looks like now I can grep my logs without it freezing. My website is faster when hosting it myself.
I just switched to my own server for hosting my website and now I can view logs. But the logs are only one day so if I don't view them for a day then yesterdays logs are gone. Plus if I grep the logs then it freezes but if I view it in nano it works.
Don't install Trinity desktop on Slackware. Kde wayland does not work anymore and regular kde x11 is mixed with parts from Trinity. Going to need to do a reinstall. Plus Trinity is half working anyway. Best to stick with Kde and xfce.
Testing out Jenny. If this works I will setup Jenny with mutt.
@prologic @xuu Don't think I can reply to the thread in twtwt. Right now Jenny is not working for some reason. I wonder if @movq has any ideas. Anyway I am happy to be back and will see if I can get jenny working. Though my following list is gone now. Plus I can't see when someone mentions me if I am not follwing them so I should work on that.
I am back on twtxt for now. I am using twtwt client. Don't think that it does replies so I should try jenny with mutt again.
I am back on twtxt. Switched to endevour os from fedora nd setup Jenny again. Now I just have to setup autopublishing and it will be all setup.
The thing is I don't know how to search the web logs on Codeberg or even if they are public. That is the issue with just regular text files. The thing with having the follower list in the twtxt file is that then it knows to track friends of friends like with yarn.
@movq Do you know how I would find people that reply to my posts or replies or even mention my users? Prologic tried to contact me and unless I found him on the yarn pod then I would not know he exists and wants to talk to me. The user agents would work but I don't know if I can view my web server logs from codeberg pages and I don't know how to monitor my logs for mentions. What about the way yarn does it by added people you follow to your twtxt file and having friends of friends like yarn does it be a thing for jenny. Just an idea
I have set an avatar and a description so there is that. Yarn users should benefit from the change
autopublishing works with jenny + mutt I think i am done configuring mostly everything now
got jenny setup and threads works completly fine but now I want to figure out how to get auto publishing working
Right now I have to setup jenny for my timeline. Just added myself to the Registry so that part is done.
